"The English Ancestry and Homes of the Pilgrim fathers", By Charles Edward Banks, reprinted with additions and corrections, Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., Baltimore, 1984, Pg. 54 notes The parish register of St. Peter's, Sandwich, co. Kent, gives the baptism of Moses, son of Moses Fletcher, 10 October, 1602, and as this was the church where Richard Masterson with his brothers and sisters lived 1594/1610, later of Leyden and still later of Plymouth.

The MAYFLOWER ship (not the Pilgrim ship), William Peirce, Master, left Gravesend in March with thirty-five passengers, mostly from Leyden, Holland, destined for Plymouth. She arrived May 15, 1629. Among the passengers was Richard Masterson of Ashford and Sandwich, Plymouth Kent and Leyden, Mrs. Mary Masterson, Nathaniel Masterson and Sarah Masterson.
