Freeman and Maranda raised a large family and appear to have passed their entire lives in the Florence-Berlin area. They are buried in the Cable Road Cemetery just off the Berlinville-Florence Road. Source: Norma Hemenway Phillips; James M. Overhuls.

There was a Freeman Ellis living near Cornelius 7 Ellis in Berlin Heights, Ohio. He married Polly Tolman 8 May 1843. There appears to have been some relationship between this Freeman and Cornelius. He is not to be confused with Freeman 8 Ellis, son of Cornelius. Col. Harry H. Ellis, Dallas, TX. included this for possible future use as continued research may disclose his identity.
