Benjamin Ellis, son of Josiah Ellis/Sara Blackwell, b. 1721, Barnstable, MA., IGI pg. 12029. [Note this differs from other date of birth on 28 July 1722].
Benjamin Ellis married his first cousin, Elizabeth Tupper, daughter of Samuel and Rebecca
(Ellis) Tupper. He was admitted to the Sandwich Church in Dec 1755. He is not listed in the
1790 census as he was probably living with one of his children.

names, due to worn condition of original records. There are 6 listings but only one is complete,
it is: "Mordecai Ellis the Son of Benj. Ellis and Elizabeth his wife born th 17th day of June 1759."
