Gilbert Ellis was a Methodist minister.

His location of death regarding county. Had originally stated that he died in Andros-Coggin Co, Maine. Have been informed by Mary Therese (Ellis) Belsito <JLEkstrom@cs.com> as follows; "In your note to me deated 7/15/2000 you said Livermore, Maine was located in Androscoggin County and not Oxford County, Maine. You are correct as of today but Livermore was one of the original towns in Oxford County. It was incorporated February 28, 1795. When Androscoggin County was erected in 1854, it took the towns of Livermore and Turner from Oxford County. Oxford County was wirst settled in 1779 but the County of Oxford was not created until 1805."
