Simeon Ellis was a Revolutionary War sailor. On a muster roll, 31 May 1780, age 24 yrs, stature 5' 6", complexion dark, residence Nantucket Island. He was a seaman on the Brigantine "Lucy" commanded by Capt. Stephen Clay.
In the 1790 census he is listed as the head of a Sherburn, Nantucket family of one male over 16, one under 16 and four females. Children are from the Vital Records of Nantucket.
