The marriage of Loring Almand Ellis and Nancy O'Donnell, by the Rev. Adam Hall, Methodist clergyman, presiding. Loring was a blacksmith by trade. He enlised in the 11th New York Cavalry 31 August 1862. He had been a prisoner of war at Donaldsonville for eight months at the time of his death.
In 1865 their children were with their ELLIS grandparents as Loring and Nancy were deceased.
