Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Hartman, announce the marriage of their daughter, Eileen Isabelle
to Mr. Rex E. Ridout, Private First Class, U. S. Army, on Saturday, the twenty-second of July Nineteen hundred forty-four at Camp Gordon, Augusta, Georgia.
Eileen Isabelle Elsworth (McCorkle) Hartman is a direct descendent through the brothers
John Ellsworth and Emanuel Ellsworth, with John's daughter Ida Isabelle Ellsworth and Emanuel's son Lester William Ellsworth marrying and have a daughter Florine Violet Ellsworth. She being Eileen's mother. It is not as complex as it appears!
Eileen was graduated from Northern High School, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, June 1943. Her early employment was with First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Detroit, n/k/a First Federal of Michigan, in the Bookkeeping Dept. Following her marriage to Rex Eldred Ridout, Eileen returned to Detroit and was employed in the Accounting Dept. of Ex-Cello Corp., Detroit, Michigan.
Following Rex's return from Germany he was employed, as an Electrician, with the Detroit Edison Co. In November 1950 he and family moved to California where he continued in the electric field, ultimately becoming a Electronic Technician for computer equipment. Eileen was employed 15 years with the May Co., then continued to Robinson and I. Magnia Co's. in the same capacity as a Cosmetics Buyer.
Eileen served two terms as PTA President, Valleyrama Council, Van Nuys, California, in 1956-1957 and 1958-1959. Both members of the Episcopal Church.
