OBITUARY -- ALPENA NEWS, WEDNESDAY, MAY 26, 1993.

Lucille Schooks, 73, of 7886 Scott, Hubbard Lake, died Tuesday (May 25) at home after suffering a heart attack.
A lifelong resident of the family's centennial farm, Lucille Ellsworth was born in Hubbard Lake on May 1, 1920, and married Clyde E. Schooks at the Hubbard Lake United Methodist Church on April 15, 1944. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1989. Mrs Schooks was a member of the Hubbard Lake United Methodist Church and its women's group and was a Sunday School teacher and Girl Scout leader. She also helped write "The History of Hubbard Lake."
Surviving are a daughter, Diane (Mrs Karl) Mitchell of Ossineke; two sons, Ronald Schooks of Marine City and Bruce Davis of Royal Oak; four grandchildren; and a brother, Paul, of California.
Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and at the Hubbard Lake United Methodist Church from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, when the Rev. Patricia Seward will conduct a funeral.
Burial: Hubbard Lake Cemetery.

There is a need to clarify names in the above Alpena News of May 26, 1993. These are the name's of Paul Ellsworth and Bruce Davis. Paul Joseph Ellsworth is the adopted son of Charles Centenial Ellsworth and Emma Edith Brunne. Bruce Davis was a foster child, that become an attached part of the Schooks family, but was never adopted by Lucille or Clyde Schooks. Note Lucille May Ellsworth was born and died in the same upstairs bedroom of Centenial farm.
