THE ELLSWORTH CONNECTION, Kathleen Annabelle Elsworth (McCorkle) Hartman is a direct descendent through the brothers John Ellsworth and Emanuel Ellsworth, with John's daughter Ida Isabelle Ellsworth and Emanuel's son Lester William Ellsworth marrying and having a daughter Florine Violet Ellsworth. She being Kathleen and Eileen's mother. It may seem complex but it really isn't!

EDUCATION and EMPLOYMENT, Kathleen Hartman was graduated from Northern High School,
Wayne County, Detroit, Michigan, June 1943. Her early employment was with First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Detroit, n/k/a First Federal of Michigan, in the Bookkeeping Dept. It was here her future husband, Edward D. Ellis was employed, in the Mortgage Dept. At a point in time, following the birth of her four sons, she was employed a year with Manpower, Inc. and 14 years with Blue Water Associates., a Sugar Broker, thus became known as the Sweetest Secretary in Town.
ACTIVITIES, She served two terms as PTA President, Lockman Elementary School, Royal Oak,
Michigan, in 1960-61 and 1961-62. She and husband are members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church,
Clawson, Michigan, both having served as Sunday School Teachers and various activities.
