Josiah Ellis was born about 1682 and died in Sandwich in 1744. He married Sarah Blackwell, daughter of Joshua and Mercy Blackwell, 21 Jan 1713/14 in Sandwich. She was born 11 Jan 1743/14 in Sandwich and died there after 29 Oct 1751.

This shows a date of death for Josiah Ellis as 2 November 1988, Sandwich, Barnstable, Ma. This is all correct EXCEPT year of 1988 an obvious error.
Vital Records of Sandwich, Massachusetts to 1885, Volume I, page 116 is found the following: Children born of this marriage five (5), Josiah, Deborah, Stephen, Elizabeth & Benjamin Ellis.
