Item 1.Ephraim Ellis baptized 10 Sept1749. Like his brother, Abiel, evidently Ephraim took the
Tory side in the early days of the Revolution. But unlike Abiel, Ephraim escaped to some area
under British control. He was probably encouraged to do this by his wife's brothers, Thomas and Seth Perry and their brother-in-law, Nicholas Cobb.
The birth of daughter Clarissa is of record in Sandwich.
The birth date of Ephraim is from the private record of Capt. Perry.
There may have been other children.
Item 2.Vital Records of Sandwich, Massachusetts to 1885, Volume 2, page 1391 gives baptism of
Ephraim Ellis on 10 Sept 1749.
