This does create some confusion as to wives since Elizabeth had a sister named Bennett Ellis, A/K/A "Sally Ellis". This is undoubtedly connections between the Ellis and Briggs families. Even to suggest that Lydia Briggs married William Ellis and that Lydia Briggs may be a sister of Samuel Briggs. Am unable to substantiate this to be a fact at this time. The Family Search Ancestral Files have much to be considered but most confusing.
