Item 1.He grew up on the various Army posts where his father was stationed. He attended school at Fort Benning, Georgia, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Falls Church, Virginia, Fort Knox, Kentucky and Boca Raton, Florida. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 666 of Culmore Methodist Church, Bailey's Cross Roads, Virginia and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow with Boy Scout Troop 268 at Fort Knox. David was midway thorugh his Senior year at Boca Raton High School when he met his untimely death in an automobile accident 17 January 1968 in Boca Raton, Florida. He is buried in the family lot in Hardin Memorial Gardens, Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
