George Marion Brokaw grew up in area near Pleasant Hill, Athens County, Ohio and in Hocking County, Ohio. Right after their marriage George and Lydia (Ellis) Brokaw migrated west, settling in Jewell County, Kansas where their children were born. Lydia died in Dec 1883 and George migrated on to Utah and married (2) Louisa Olson 24 August 1895. She was the daughter of Olaf R. and Marie (Pederson) Olson, who came to America in 1887 and settled in Provo, Utah. George and Louisa lived in Provo where he died in 1926. Louisa died in Myton, Utah. Both are buried in Provo.
