Item 1.Eli O. Ellis passed his youth on his father's farm and attended school in Norwalk, Ohio.
When the Sandusky-Mansfield Railroad was under construction, young Eli was rodman
for John Webb, the surveyor. He resided on his father's farm most of his life and held
