Politics: An Independent. Lived at Lewiston, Michigan in 1953 and resided at 1276 E. Cornell St., Flint, Mi. in 1959.

In a letter written on 6 March 1917, from Guy Monroe Ellsworth, to Alice Leota Ida Ellsworth he mentions writing to his wife. This places the particular letter prior to his marriage on 23 December 1920 to Flora Webb thus a possible previous marriage not reported. Further clarification is needed. This letter in the possession of Shirley Jean Elsworth Bates.

A note from Shirely Jean Elsworth Bates as follows: "My brother, Dayle [Dayle Vincent Elsworth] tells of hearing stories of Guy's war service. He was stationed in Russia--it was so cold they had to sleep in their clothing so long that the flesh of his feet grew through his socks." Like a Paul Bunyon story!

A further note from Shirley Jean Elsworth Bates as follows: "I always thought Guy [Guy Monroe Ellsworth] met Flora [Webb] while he was in the service, but Ilene Weaver, Vienna Township Supervisor, R#2, 1590 M32, Atlanta, Mi. 49709, said the Webb's lived near Lewiston; that they were musicians, and played at events in the area."
