Dayle Vincent Elsworth attended Booth and Elsie High Schools. He was a farmer and factory worker. Being retired in Ma 1971 from G.M. with disability, thus, effecting any further farming. His hobbies are camping and woodworking. In the Military Service for 39 months, from Sept. 1942 to Nov. 1945, with 2 years overseas. 6 months in England, the rest in Germany, France, & Belgium in the medics. He grew up in Chapin, Michigan on the farm.
The family states: After school gets out, we travel a lot during the summer and home very little. We have a 36', 5th wheel trailer to be our retirement home when I (Betty) quit work. Dayle's military service took him to Europe and was there during the Battle of the Bulge. He worked in the hospital and assisted the doctors during surgery. Setting up hospitals in the battle fields and never carried a gun.
