Douglas Ellsworth, 45, of 9483 Long Rapids Rd., died suddenly this morning (March 21) at the Florence Crittenden Hospital in Rochester, Mich.
Mr. Ellsworth was born Sept. 10, 1922 in Alpena and married Betty Ryan here in 1942. They had lived in Utica until returning to Alpena recently. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Air Force.
Surviving are his widow; tow sons, Douglas-Jr in Utica and David, a student at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo; four daughters, Mrs. Anthony Greegtski (Debra) of Posen, Mrs. Douglas Aesthorpe (Darlene) Utica, Mrs. Gary Horowitz (Denise) of Alpena and Dawn at home; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 Saturday at the Bannan Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Friday. the Rev. Gilbert Funkel of the Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate.
