Family Sources. Christopher ELLIS, son of Elnathan Ellis, who was the son of Manoah who was the son of John Ellis. He was born 10 March 1717/18 in Yarmouth, Barnstable County, (Cape Cod) MA. His mother was Mary Burgess. Living in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He married 12 Oct. 1739 to Priscilla Chase, daughter of Thomas Chase and Sarah Gowell of Dennis, Barnstable County, MA. She was born 10 April 1720 in Yarmouth, Mass. They had the following children, all born in Yarmouth, Mass; Levi, b. 1739, Ebenezer, b. 1742, Lazarus, b. 1744. Christopher possibly relocated in Hardyston, Sussex Co., New Jersey before Jan. 1774. He and family were also recorded around Warwick, Orange Co., New York 1773-74. (Elisha) Ellis (Elnathan, Manoah, Lt. John) was born in Barnstable, Yarmouth, Ma, 10 March 1717-18. Christopher's date of death is unknown, he was married in 1739 and had at least three children after 1739.
