Misc. Notes
The original genealogical information concerning this portion of the Ellis Family History was received from Col. Harry H. Ellis (Deceased), Dallas, TX. His data and that from James M. Overhuls has become debatable as to the correctness of the Joseph Ellis family herein discussed. One might check out the Firelands Museum, Norwalk, Ohio.

Here is the QUESTIONABLE material. --- [Andrew 6 Ellis, father of Cornelius 7 Ellis, had a son, a brother and a father named Joseph. There were two Joseph Ellises living near Cornelius in Florence, Ohio between 1842 and 1845. Either could have been the son. One Married Emoline Pearl in 1843 and the other married Delia Aikens in 1844. Emoline witnessed a deed executed by Cornelius in 1842 along with Freeman Ellis, eldest son of Cornelius.] ---

Concerning this Joseph and Emeline (Pearl) Ellis family, the following was received from Barbara Moon Weiler, South Bend, Indiana. It consists of hand written material found tucked into the pages of the Moon Family Bible, of Dora Ellis, who married Abner Mack Moon, she being the daughter of Joseph and Emeline Pearl Ellis, grandmother of Barbara Moon Weile
