Jeremiah Ellis sold for $500.00 paid to Edmond Young, by deed 3 February 1801, his house and homestead farm in Harwich, his wife, Bridget Ellis, releasing dower. He came to Springfield, Vermont in 1802 with wife and children to care for his aged parents. Having been a sailor, he then turned to farming.
