Susan Hodges is apparently Apollis Ellis's 2nd marriage as his daughter Lamira was 19 and his son Madison 15 in the 1850 Census. His age was given as 48 in the 1850 census. Susan is not listed in the 1860 census so she probably died between 1850 and 1860. As far as is known Apollis passed his entire life in Essex Junction althogh there is no record of his death.
