[Note spelling of Charles B. TOUNE instead of TOWNE. This has to be a mistake with the U in
place of the letter W].

Massachusetts. Source info: Batch No. F505597, Source Call No. 1553348, Sheet No. 12.
[Note again spelling of Charles TOUNE instead of TOWNE].

[Note we are still having date of marriage problems from Nov 1844 to 6 Sept 1850].

Susan Snow Ellis, given in the vital records of Hardwick as having published intention
of marrying a James Clements of Ware, 24 Nov. 1847, but apparently called off.

In the 1850 census is found the following for Rindge, NH, Cheshire Co., 27 Aug 1850,
item 450, Charles Towne, Age 37, male, farmer, Estate $1,200.00 of VT. Susan Towne,
age 29, female, MA., Green Towne, age 68, male, NH; Lucy Towne, age 64, female.

Susan Snow Ellis and Charles B. Towne lived in Rindge, NH, Ashburnham, MA.,
Weathersfield, VT., then moved to Winchendon, MA. where there grandchildren lived.

Note that Susan Snow (Ellis) Towne and daughter Lucy Jane Towne died with in 8 days
of each other.

Have wondered about the name of Snow and How it became a part of Susan Snow Ellis
name. In the Book publication, Vital Records of Hardwick, MA., published by Wright & Potter
Printing Co., Boston, MA., is found on page 324 the following: "Death of Mary Snow, widow
of ______ and stepmother of Elder E. Burt, April 17, 1840, age 85 years."
