Macomb, Mich., March 25, 1878.
The second daughter of Mr. T. M. Giddings was buried to-day in the "Preston Burying Ground."
Two weeks ago yesterday they buried their eldest, a charming child aged six years and ten months, that died of diphtheria after an illness of five days. The day they buried her the second one was attacked by the same disease, but it was thought that she would recover, as the disease seemed to yield to treatment; but a few days ago it developed into scarlet fever, which terminated her life at the age of four years and nine months. The sadly afflicted parents have left unto them an infant daughter a few months old.
