Item 1.Isaac Ellis was a Revolutionary War soldier serving as a corporal in Capt. Elija Smalley's
company, Maj. Zenas Winslow's regiment; service, 3 days, on an alarm at Bedford and
Falmouth in September 1778. He is listed in the 1790 census as the head of a Harwich
family of two males over 16, three under 16 and seven females.
