In High School she majored in music and dramatic arts and studied piano under Grace Temple. After High School she attended Lewis Chapin Business College, then pursued a secretarial career as bookkeeper for the Delus Laundry, private secretary for Benny Benson, Vice President of Parson Industries. Following their marriage Jane continued her work as office manager for the Thirlby Clinic and later accepted a position as medical secretary at the James Decker Munson Hospital. She retired in 1981.
