Ephraim 5 Ellis was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in the Continental Army from 5 April 1781 to 31 December 1783. He served partly in Capt. Emmerson's company, Tenth Massachusetts Line and partly in Capt. Killam's company, Col. Newell's regiment, Massachusetts Line. Ephraim and Sarah (Fellows) Ellis first five children were born in Woodstock, Vt.
About 1818 Ephraim and his entire family, except for daughter Susannah, migrated to Roxbury Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.
