Item 1.As master of the schooner "Almira" Capt. Josiah Ellis was frozen to death in a
sudden ice storm in Barnstable Bay and his son, Josiah, was permanently crippled
by frostbitten hands and feet. Four children baptized in the Sandwich church.
The names of these children have not been made available.

Lists a Captain Josiah Ellis of Sandwich. Note above regarding schooner Almira &
Capt. Josiah Ellis. The e-Bay item also lists the ships by name and under Schooners
is the ALMIRA. Looks like this is our man.
Item 5.Josiah Ellis is a 4th Cousin 4 times removed from Edward Dale Ellis.
