Item 3.Elnathan and Hannah Ellis are reported to have had 3 children. The names of which we do not have.
Item 4.From THE CIVIL WAR COURIER, December 1998, pg. 43, is found a photograph of Elnathan 6 Ellis tomb stone, located in Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville, N.Y. Elnathan b. abt 1777, d. 8 October 1855, Forestville, N.Y. This marker evidently lay in a pile, with other broken ones, at the edge of the cemetery for decades. Joe Bolivard managed to get a plot map from the cemetery's board and was able to replace repaired stones over the correct grave locations. The Elnathan Ellis marker was broken in three places, but Joe was able to put these cracked pieces back together with auto body cement. All he needed was a little help to lift em into place, a few cents worth of cement, and they'll be seen for many more years. The repairs are not pretty in some cases -- cracks leave words unreadable -- but the engravings are largely restored.
