The comment made in his father's entry is repeated here. Brownson and McLean have identified this man as Joel 6 Ellis, b. abt 1775, d. 17 Sept 1851; Horatio D. Allis calls him Joel Allis. These names are included here with the hope that some knowledgeable reader will assist in correcting the error.
