Macomb Co. Records, Marriage Record Book E, 1861-1869, page 269, received from James Whiting, Clerk on October 17, 1866. “This certifies, that Lafayette W. Giddings, of Macomb, aged 36 years, and Mary A. Sutherland, of Lenox Twp., age 28 years, being duly qualified according to the law of the State were by me united in matrimony at the Methodist Parsonage, Brooklin, Michigan, Ray Twp. on the fourth day of October, 1866, in presence of Chester Dryer, residence Lenox, Marico Dryer, residence, Lexex.” Wm J. Campbell, Minister of the Gospel.
Brooklyn, Michigan located two (2) miles north of Macomb Corners but name changed to and now know as Davis, Michigan.
