While William was in the Navy his wife died suddenly and the children were placed in an orphanage. It would be interesting to know if these children were placed prior to William Jr's death. This information received from the Charles Stevens Gould family in Fort Collins, Colo. We have a family unit all but lost, except for potential researching by others to locate the missing grandchildren.
