It is reported by Lucille May Ellsworth that Lydie Ellsworth Brooks had a child born prior to Norman Brooks and Rose Brooks. A doctor from Alpena came to attend the delivery but was drunk and this is supposed to have contributed to the death of child at birth. Child buried in same grave with grandfather John Ellsworth. No name given the child. EDE

The funeral services for Lydie Ellsworth were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., at Hubbard Lake Methodist church. Internment in Hubbard Lake cemetery. The Rev. Gale Gregg officiated.
