Date of birth for Ephraim Ellis indicted as 20 or 24 October 1716.Ephraim Ellis is a cousin of wife Rebecca 4 Ellis. Ephraim and Rebecca both joined the Sandwich Church 28 May 1738. Ephraim was voted a deacon of the Sandwich Church 14 April and accepted 7 June 1774. Although he was probably never ordained, he devoted much of his life in preaching to the Indians. His will was dated 15 June 1773 and proved 8 July 1783.
